DONETSK, February 26 Ukrainian troops at 16.10 fired at the DPR for the first time in 24 hours, firing four shells of 152 mm caliber at Gorlovka, the DPR representative office reported at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
“After 00.00, shelling was recorded from the armed formations of Ukraine in the direction: 16.10 – the settlement of Dzerzhinsk – the settlement of Gorlovka (Tsentralno-Gorodsky district): four shells of 152 mm caliber were fired,” the representative office said in a statement on the Telegram channel .
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
