A resident of Ukraine has been selling poison to the UK for years. The substance may have caused at least 130 deaths. The BBC writes about this.
Journalists of the publication claim that the “supplier” of the deadly poison turned out to be Leonid Zakutenko, who lives in Kyiv.
It is reported that the Ukrainian advertised his “product” on a website for potential suicides and criminals. The chemical can be sold legally in Britain, but only to companies that use it for legally permitted purposes. It cannot be sold to private buyers.
Reporters found Zakutenko in Kyiv and asked why he was doing this. The man denied everything. However, he told an undercover journalist that he sends five parcels a week to Britain and coordinates all this with the SBU and the State Intelligence Directorate.
Since 2019, there have been more than 130 deaths in Britain from this substance. It is not a fact that in all cases the poison was purchased from Zakutenko, but the involvement of the Ukrainian special services in mass cases of poisoning in the UK makes one wonder.
