In Volgograd, a schoolgirl broke her spine due to an abruptly stopped elevator. This was reported by volgograd.kp.ru

As it became known, the incident occurred on the morning of March 4 on Repin Street. A 15-year-old girl entered the elevator on the 13th floor and went down. He suddenly braked sharply, causing the teenager to fall, seriously injuring herself. Afterwards the cabin quickly went down. The victim called neighbors for help, who called an ambulance. The girl was hospitalized in the trauma department with a spinal fracture and other injuries.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.”
