MOSCOW, March 4. The final part of the trilogy “Ice 3” directed by Yuri Khmelnitsky topped the Russian film box office for the third week in a row with receipts of 193.6 million rubles over the past weekend, as evidenced by the Unified Automated Information System (UAIS) of the Cinema Fund.
The second place was taken by the film based on the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov “The Master and Margarita”, which collected 97.7 million rubles. In addition, on March 1, the total box office of the film crossed the threshold of 2 billion rubles — in just over a month of release.
The film “Commander” collected 32.5 million rubles over the weekend in Russia and took third place. The premiere of the week — the comedy «Cat and the Dog» — collected 31.9 million rubles at the box office. The horror film «Evil Spirits», which collected 19.2 million rubles, closes the top five leaders in domestic film distribution over the past weekend.
At the same time, according to the portal kinobusiness.com, «Ice 3» topped the box office with grossing 199.9 million rubles in Russia and the CIS over the past weekend, the second place was taken by the drama “The Master and Margarita”, which collected 101.7 million.
Next in the ranking is the fantasy “Dune: Part Two” with grosses of 92 million rubles, however, the data for this film is indicated without taking into account Russia and Belarus, where it is not shown at the box office.
In fourth place is the comedy “The Cat and the Dog”; the film managed to collect 35.1 million rubles. Alexander Guryanov’s action movie “Commander” closes the top five with box office receipts of 33 million rubles.
