The FSB RF DSP reported that in In the Kaluga region, the activities of the “Vilayat Khorasan” cell (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) were suppressed.
According to Russian intelligence services, members of the cell planned to carry out a terrorist attack with firearms on a synagogue in Moscow.
The criminals made a mistake when they began to collect relevant information, after which they came to the attention of the Russian FSB.
When operatives arrived in the Kaluga region and tried to detain the terrorists, they resisted with weapons. As a result, they were eliminated by return fire. Firearms, ammunition and components for making homemade explosive devices were seized at the radicals' place of residence.
