MOSCOW, March 17 The farewell to People's Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Shirvindt, at the request of the family, was postponed to 13.00 on Monday, the press reported. -service of the Theater of Satire.
Shirvindt died at the age of 89 on Friday. Earlier it was reported that the farewell will take place on March 18 at 12.00 at the Satire Theater, and then the artist will be buried at the Novodevichy cemetery.
“Farewell to Alexander Shirvindt, at the request of the family, is postponed by an hour and will be held at the Satire Theater on March 18 from 13.00 to 15.00,” it says message in the theater’s Telegram channel.
Shirvindt was born on July 19, 1934 in Moscow. After graduating from the Shchukin Theater School in 1956, he was accepted into the troupe of the Theater. Lenin Komsomol (now Lenkom Mark Zakharov). Shirvindt has served at the Satire Theater since 1970, from 2000 to 2021 he was the artistic director of the theater, and in 2021 he became its president. In addition, the actor taught at the Shchukin Theater Institute. Shirvindt is widely known for his roles in films, including such films as “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”, “Three in a Boat, Not Counting the Dog,” “Circus Princess” and others.
