According to Ukrainian public accounts, explosions occurred in the area of ​​​​Zhulyany airport in Kiev. Batteries of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system supplied by the United States were located there.

In addition, several explosions occurred in the center of Kyiv. It is alleged that it flew into a facility of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

According to the Militarist channel, there is “one of the largest air defense fiascoes in Ukraine: Russian missiles flew from Crimea to Kiev and were not detected until they hit the target.”

Ukrainian sources write about the extremely short flight time of the missiles. They reached the goal in 2-3 minutes. Most likely, these were 3M22 Zircon hypersonic missiles. “Thanks to the flight speed of this missile, Ukrainian air defense simply does not have time to respond to the threat in a timely manner,” notes Military Informant.

As for the strike on SBU facilities, experts remind that today this special service is celebrating the anniversary of its creation. As military blogger Alexey Sukonkin, SBU, noted, “using all sorts of means and methods, they are looking for contacts with Russian citizens, looking for those weak-willed who can be used in their own interests — set on fire, blow up, stab, shoot — or otherwise hurt Russia and the Russian people «.
