NOVOSIBIRSK, March 22 Punished for seven days in jail for rowdy behavior in a Novosibirsk bar, actor Nikita Kologrivy took four books with him to his cell, including “The Priceless Gift” «Natalya Konchalovskaya about the artist Vasily Surikov, a source in the region's law enforcement agencies said.
The Central District Court of Novosibirsk last Thursday sentenced Kologriv to seven days of administrative arrest for petty hooliganism — a night brawl in a local bar. Judge Ruslan Frolov said that the actor from “The Boy’s Word” will serve his sentence in special detention center No. 2 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Novosibirsk for the detention of persons subject to administrative arrest.
«He took four books into the cell. Natalia Konchalovskaya's The Priceless Gift is definitely there,» said the agency's interlocutor, finding it difficult to name other books.
Immediately after the court decision on administrative arrest, the actor also asked his friends to give him Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel “Demons” to his cell.
Previously, the GUMVD for the Novosibirsk region reported that in the special detention center the actor will be able to receive parcels every day, except Saturdays, and he is also allowed to use paper and pen. After the decision was made in court, Kologrivy told reporters that he would go “to sit on the kitsch” and “write poetry.”
The prosecutor's office, which asked for 15 days of arrest for Kologrivy, intends to appeal the decision of the Central District Court of Novosibirsk.
«The Priceless Gift» is a book about one of the great Russian artists Vasily Surikov, written by his granddaughter Natalya Konchalovskaya. «Demons» is the sixth novel by the Russian writer and philosopher Fyodor Dostoevsky.
