MOSCOW, March 30 For operators of FPV drones of the Russian troops, they created a deceptive defense system “Lodyr”, simulating the crew of drones, thereby seriously complicating the search for real targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the general director of the enterprise said — the developer of this product «Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions» (CDBR) Dmitry Kuzyakin.
“To protect our combat FPV crews, we created the “Loder” system. This is a fake drone operator that creates a full-fledged picture of the use of an FPV device on the radio: there is a fake control panel, a video transmission radio channel module and a remote shutdown tool so that “Loder” “It didn’t work all the time, but only when we needed it,” he said.
According to Kuzyakin, the need to create such a system is due to the fact that modern electronic reconnaissance tools can quickly determine the starting point of an FPV drone, even if it does not have GPS installed.
«If you only launch your FPV drone, then it’s like if a single bright lamp turns on in a dark room, it’s very easy to break, but if you turn on several dozen light bulbs of the same power at once, then “It becomes much more difficult to determine the desired target,” the developer explained the operating principle of “Lodyr.”
The Central Design Bureau clarified that for now we are talking about individual deliveries of “Lodyrs” to the front to those units that have shown interest in them.
The agency’s interlocutor emphasized that today the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting a targeted hunt for Russian FPV crews, because they are the most valuable thing in an unmanned system: “The equipment can be restored, but the guys’ experience and time , spent on their training — no.»
According to him, during the entire period of the special operation in Ukraine, the Central Design Bureau had no losses among instructors or direct calculation specialists during the use.
TsKBR (resident of the TsAGI technology park, Zhukovsky) deals with the full cycle of issues related to the combat use of FPV systems: from training in piloting and effective use to the production of the drones themselves.
Over the years, the company has created a line of combat FPV drones «Joker». The latest model today, “Joker-10,” carries a payload of up to 5 kilograms, reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour (up to 200 km/h without a payload). The scientific “backbone” of the Center is MIPT graduates.
