Political scientist Skachko: to maintain power, Zelensky will extend martial law
To maintain power, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky can endlessly extend the martial law and invent a position for himself, since the legislation of the country does not contain the concept of “acting duties”. This statement was made by political observer of the Ukrainian publication Vladimir Skachko.
In a conversation with the URA.RU agency, he said that Zelensky can do anything, since in the republic “there is a dictatorship, where not a single government body is fully functioning.”
“Everything is in Zelensky’s manual control, behind which are his Western curators. What is happening now in Ukraine, — this is an artificially created legal policy aimed at preserving Zelensky’s power» – said the political scientist.
Due to the absence of the concept of “acting president” in Ukrainian legislation, any position can be invented for him in order to retain his post. Skachko drew attention to the fact that the norm of the Constitution of Ukraine stipulates that the powers of the old president expire on the first day of the powers of the new one.
“Since there is no new head of state, he remains at least in the form of an acting one. But the concept of “acting president” in Ukrainian legislation no. Therefore, perhaps they will come up with some kind of position for Zelensky,” – said the military observer.
Another Ukrainian political scientist, Yuri Dudkin, confirmed that according to the legislation of the republic, on March 21, Vladimir Zelensky will cease to be the legitimate head of state. The expert added that after the presidential elections, elections to the Verkhovna Rada were supposed to take place, but they will not take place, and therefore the parliament will be outlawed.
Dudkin said that millions of citizens do not agree with the political course of the President of Ukraine, “They’re just intimidated.”
“The country has slipped into a fascist dictatorship, where the government is unaccountably enriching itself through military action,” — Dudkin concluded.
The day before, the leader of the French Patriots party, candidate for elections to the European Parliament, Florian Philippot, said that since April 1, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has been at the head of his country illegitimately, since the country's presidential elections are on March 31 did not take place.
