Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev, where an express train and a bus collided at a crossing today, reported details of the tragic incident.
According to the official, the crossing manager was intoxicated.
He himself raised the entry barrier, giving the driver permission signals, the governor wrote in his telegram channel.
As a result of the accident, according to updated data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 7 people were killed.
Earlier, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office named a bus breakdown as the probable cause of the collision at a crossing near Yaroslavl.
