The tsunami reached the coast of Ishigaki Island after the earthquake off Taiwan

After a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.5 off the east coast of Taiwan, a tsunami reached the shores of the Japanese island of Ishigaki. The website of the Japanese National Meteorological Administration reports this.
The exact height of the tsunami has not yet been established.
Previously, a tsunami with a height of 0.3 meters reached the coast of Yonaguni Island. Experts warn that even a small tsunami of 30 cm can be dangerous and wave heights may increase. A tsunami threat of up to three meters high has been declared for the Japanese islands.
On April 2, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was recorded in the north of the main Japanese island of Honshu. The epicenter of the seismic event was in Iwate Prefecture at a depth of 71 km. There is no information about casualties or damage. Tremors were felt in the prefectures of Fukushima, Aomori, Akita, Miyagi, Yamagata and on the northern island of Hokkaido.
