As part of the digital transformation strategy, DOM.RF is systematically working on import substitution of the software and equipment used. The share of the company's expenses on Russian hardware in 2023 reached 89%, a year earlier this figure was at 45%. CIO of DOM.RF Anton Petukhov spoke about this during the panel discussion “Consumers vs Producers” at the first cross-industry conference “AKPO-Conf”.
Currently, the DOM.RF group uses a number of Russian IT solutions and various types of domestic radio-electronic products, including laptops and all-in-one PCs, servers and data storage systems, as well as Russian network equipment.
“Since there are significant critical infrastructure facilities in our area, we are obliged to ensure the continuity and security of all processes. This is also taken into account in our “road map” for import substitution. Today in the DOM.RF group we use over 37 thousand pieces of equipment from 16 classes of radio-electronic products. Some of them have already been replaced with Russian analogues; we are working on the remaining classes. To reduce import dependence, we test Russian solutions, compare them with each other, and check for compliance with our requirements. We are currently testing products from at least 10 manufacturers for various tasks. These are systems for server virtualization, backup, containerization, telephony, and network equipment. What is important is that manufacturers are ready to meet halfway, take into account our needs and refine their solutions,” said Anton Petukhov.
The DOM.RF group already operates more than 150 domestic software solutions; the level of import substitution for most classes of software has exceeded 90%. By the end of this year, the number of domestic solutions will increase by another 14. At the end of 2023, the total amount of DOM.RF expenses on Russian software amounted to more than 4.7 billion rubles, and the share of expenses on Russian software reached 92% (+13%).
DOM.RF not only implements software from domestic companies into its work, but also produces the software itself. Already nine developments of DOM.RF and its subsidiary Digital Technologies have been included in the register of domestic software of the Ministry of Digital Development.
One of the latest products that was launched on the domestic market was a cloud solution for information technology modeling «Digital control of construction». This software allows you to create and maintain information models of capital construction projects in accordance with the requirements of legislation and regulatory documents, as well as reduce the risks and costs of project management.
