TASS: the dam in Orsk is completely destroyed

TASS reports the complete destruction of a dam in Orsk, Orenburg region

As of the morning of April 6, the dam in Orsk, Orenburg region, completely collapsed. This is reported by TASS with reference to operational services.

“Currently, the dam on the Ural River is completely destroyed,” said the agency’s interlocutor.

It is also reported that “the volume of release of water from the Aktobe reservoir.»

At the same time, RIA Novosti claims, with reference to local authorities, that «reports about the complete destruction of the dam in Orsk do not correspond to reality.» TASS later clarified that the government denies the destruction of the dam.

"Interfax" reports with reference to the governor's press service that «the dam in Orsk was destroyed only in the place where it experiences the greatest load» and that “on Saturday morning there was destruction within 10 meters.”

According to media reports, at least two dead were found in the city. However, local officials have not yet confirmed that the deaths are related to the flood.
