«Notepad» and 161.ru: in the Rostov region, a former military man is suspected of killing two people

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the murder of two local residents in the Zimovnikovsky district of the Rostov region. It is known that on April 2, men born in 1983 and 1971 left their place of work and did not make it home. After the relatives of the missing people contacted the police, a search was launched, and some time later both were found dead with signs of violent death.
Local media provided some details about the murder. As “Notebook Volgodonsk” writes, murder victims – A 41-year-old chief engineer of an agricultural cooperative and a 52-year-old employee of the same enterprise. Their cars were found on April 4 at shallow depths in the Sal River, five kilometers from the Verkholomov farm. The corpse of the missing engineer with his hands and feet tied was recovered from the trunk of one car; the man's throat was also cut and his ears were cut off. The second car was 200 meters away, the owner’s body was found not inside, but in the river nearby.
The publication claims that “a 32-year-old resident of Volgodonsk is suspected of the murder.” and that the suspect – «former member of the SVO.» A possible accomplice is being sought along with him, it follows from the published information.
The fact that the suspect in the murder – “a member of the SVO,” also with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies, writes publication 161.ru. The publication states that a previously convicted resident of the village of Novoprivolny, Remontnensky District, is being sought.
Law enforcement agencies have not yet commented on media information about the identity of possible suspects. It is known that the investigation is being conducted by the investigative department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region. «Notepad» reports that, at the direction of the management of the Investigative Committee, the case has been transferred for further investigation to the First Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases.
