MOSCOW, April 5 Qualification tests of the serial batch of Lebedev modular pistols have been completed, the Russian Guard has accepted the new weapon for service, the Kalashnikov concern reported on Friday. .
«Qualification tests of the serial batch of MPLs have been completed. This was announced by the leading designer of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (JSC IMZ, Kalashnikov concern) Dmitry Lebedev, speaking at the round table «Assessment of the combat effectiveness of the weapons of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in the zone carrying out a special military operation» within the framework of the exhibition «Expotechnoguard», the message says.
It is noted that according to the results of qualification tests, a batch of serial MPLs, which were adopted by the Russian Guard, was recognized as complying with the technical specifications, and the IMZ is capable of producing them in the specified volumes.
As the leading designer of IMZ noted, today the Russian Guard is the main consumer of MPL and MPL1. In general, the department has the greatest experience in using any of the Lebedev line of pistols.
«The pistol is guaranteed to withstand the service life when using high-pulse cartridges 7N21-01 . When using cartridges of normal power, the service life of pistols increases multiple times. Work on the development of products is proceeding effectively, and the National Guard is looking forward to the massive arrival of Lebedev pistols to them,” the concern’s press service quotes the designer as saying.
