There are two stadiums in world football that are the toughest for a Liverpool player.
One is Old Trafford, the other is Goodison Park. Both trips benefit Jurgen Klopp and will have a huge impact on whether his farewell to Anfield ends with another league title.
Klopp has already held this position as Liverpool manager. Liverpool played two away matches in 2019 that they knew would be particularly difficult against Manchester City — away to Manchester United and Everton.
Klopp's team won 10 of the last 12 games. Two of the draws were at Old Trafford, with Goodison and City winning the title by a single point. The size of the matches and all that they entailed was the main reason that these were the only games that Liverpool failed to win.
This time a difference of 90 points could be enough to become champion — six wins and two draws. could take Liverpool over the line.
But Arsenal and City will look at Liverpool's remaining matches with the belief that they could lose again to their fiercest rivals. They are not afraid that United or Everton will not do everything possible to keep Klopp at the top.
Since becoming Liverpool manager, Klopp has played 17 times away from home. United and Everton. He won four games, two at each stadium. He lost four of his 10 matches at Old Trafford.
