MOSCOW, April 1 Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the Russian Academy of Sciences, to develop a federal project for the development of scientific and technical libraries, to allocate for this until 2030 additionally at least 9 billion rubles. «The Government of the Russian Federation, with the participation of the federal state budgetary institution «Russian Academy of Sciences», to develop and implement a federal project for the development of scientific and technical libraries in scientific organizations, educational organizations of higher education, organizations of additional professional education «, the text of the instructions says.

It is necessary, among other things, to provide for the creation of a register of scientific and technical libraries and scientific and technical information centers, digitization and updating of the fixed assets of scientific and technical libraries.

Until 2030, it was ordered to allocate an additional at least 9 billion rubles from the federal budget for these purposes. It is necessary to report on the execution of the order before October 1, then report once every six months.
