The current generation serial three-row Acura MDX crossover debuted in the United States at the end of 2020. The five-meter model finished the past year in positive territory: 57,599 units were sold, which is 24% more than in 2022. For example, the Infiniti QX60 in the States sold 29,383 units (+77%), but the Lexus RX is still far ahead – 114,033 units. (+19%). In addition, according to the results of the first quarter of 2024, sales of Acura MDX dropped by 27% to 11,141 units. In general, restyling is very useful, it can invigorate the demand for SUVs of Honda's premium sub-brand.

All versions received a new front bumper, and the A-Spec version is now almost the same as the “hot” MDX Type S. The headlights and taillights have been darkened. The main new thing inside is a multimedia system with a touchscreen and Google services, although the screen has not become larger (12.3 inches). Let us remind you that the pre-reform MDX has a non-touch tablet – control is assigned to the touchpad located on the central tunnel. Thanks to the introduction of a new screen, an enlarged compartment for small items has appeared on the tunnel of the restyled cross, in addition, access to the wireless charging area has been simplified.

The basic crossover also received two additional speakers (now there are 11 of them); expensive versions have a new audio system – Bang & Olufsen (standard SUV has 19 speakers, Type S has 31). Motors were not affected by the reforms. Under the hood of the Acura MDX there is a V6 3.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine with a power of 294 hp. MDX production has been established in the States, sales of the updated crossover will start there in May, there are no prices yet. A pre-reform standard SUV now costs from $51,500 (including delivery, but excluding taxes), Type S will cost at least $69,800 (also including delivery, excluding taxes).
