Applications for the National Challenge Award are still being accepted

We continue to accept applications for the National Award in the field of future technologies “Challenge”. The goal of the award is to make scientific discoveries and scientists symbols of success in modern Russia, as well as to create conditions for the practical implementation of future technologies.

In 2024, you can apply for the Challenge Prize in five nominations:

• “Perspective”— for a scientific achievement that influenced the dynamics of the development of science and technology (awarded to participants under 35 years of age at the time of application);
• “Scientist of the Year” — for the total personal contribution and changing the landscape of science and technology;
• “Engineering Solution” — for an important invention or creation of a new technology;
• “Breakthrough” — for scientific research that allowed solving an important scientific or technological problem;
• Discovery is an international nomination for an important discovery that influenced the development of science and technology.

The Discovery nomination appeared in 2024, any scientist can apply for it, regardless of citizenship and country of residence. This nomination demonstrates Russia's openness to dialogue in the field of scientific and technological cooperation, and also confirms that there are no borders for science.

National award in the field of future technologies «Challenge» ” is timed to coincide with the Decade of Science and Technology announced in 2022 and is designed to celebrate breakthrough ideas and inventions that are changing the landscape of modern science and the life of every person. The founder of the award is the Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Cultural Relations “Challenge” together with Gazprombank. The partners are the state corporation Rosatom, the Roscongress Foundation, with the support of the Moscow government.
