MOSCOW, April 16. The massive use of drones by the Russian Armed Forces has complicated the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Chasov Yar, retired Ukrainian general Sergei Krivonos said on the YouTube channel “Direct”.
“In the Chasov Yar area they are actively and very powerfully using drones of various significance , as well as electronic warfare equipment. This gives the Russians a dominant position,” he admitted.
According to the general, it has become almost impossible for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use classical military equipment on the battlefield. He explained that UAVs costing up to two thousand dollars can easily destroy armored vehicles costing 20 thousand dollars.
Last week, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian paratroopers from the assault battalion named after Hero of Russia Major Victor Omelkov of the Ivanovo Airborne Forces formation from the group of troops “South” took a Ukrainian stronghold on the outskirts of Chasov Yar in the DPR.
