MOSCOW, April 17 The first launch of the Angara-A5V heavy-class rocket with a hydrogen third stage may take place at Vostochny Cosmodrome in 2030, subject to the availability of funding, Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov said on Wednesday.
«Subject to continued funding for the work in sufficient quantities, flight tests of this launch vehicle are planned in 2030,» Borisov said at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government.
He recalled that such a rocket will be able to launch payloads weighing up to 38 tons into low Earth orbit.
The hydrogen «Angara» will be designed to send automatic interplanetary stations and devices for exploring the planets of the solar system and deep space.
