Europe's last manufacturer of audio cassettes announced high demand for them

PARIS, Apr 20 Europe's last audio cassette manufacturing plant, located in northwestern France, intends to double its output amid high demand, BFMTV reported on Saturday. .
“The RTM Industries enterprise has been producing audio cassettes in the center (of the department — ed.) Manche for about 40 years and today is seeing renewed interest in this format… Against the backdrop of demand, it plans to double production,” the TV channel said in a statement.

As BFMTV recalls, the company, located in the city of Avranches, is “the last in Europe” and one of three in the world engaged in the production of audio cassettes.

Currently the plant produces 1.5 thousand units per day, in the next few months it intends to increase production to three thousand, the material says. Plans to increase production volumes are associated with a surge in the audio cassette market, which has been growing by 20% annually since 2022, the TV channel reports.
It is noted that RTM Industries also accepts orders from individual individuals. On its website you can develop your own design for the case and the cassette itself and attach files with your favorite music, the product will be ready and shipped within two weeks, BFMTV reports.
