Sir Keir Starmer was pictured wearing Adidas Gazelle trainers weeks after Rishi Sunak was ridiculed for his own fashion footwear choices.
The Labor Party leader was spotted wearing the trainers . , which sell for around £90, during the election campaign on Tuesday.
He walked the streets with Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, and David Skyte, the Labor Party candidate for mayor of York and North Yorkshire. elections.
It comes after Mr Sunak was accused of sounding the death knell for Sambas, another popular Adidas trainer, by wearing trainers for an interview in Downing Street.
This is not the first time Sir Keir is photographed. his Gazelle. Asked about his choice of footwear in a recent interview with Metro at St George's Park, the FA's headquarters, he said the footwear was not Sunak's style.

He said he chose trainers for the visit because «you don't see endless numbers of politicians in suits and wearing a tie to a football field and trying to play football in regular shoes doesn't work.»
He added: “So I thought if I come to the practice field, I'm going to wear something that I can actually hit the ball with.”
Footage of Sunak in his Samba sparked a backlash from fans, even prompting British magazine GQ to publish an article: «Can Rishi Sunak leave the Adidas Samba alone?»
The men's magazine reported that the Prime Minister had «taken the ever-cool trainers and ruined them for everyone» and urged future prime ministers to «stay away from our trainers».
Mr Sunak eventually apologized to the «samba community», while insisting he was » longtime fan of Adidas sneakers.
He told LBC Radio: “I apologize profusely to the Samba community. But in my defense, I would say that I've been wearing Adidas sneakers, including Sambas — and others, actually — for many, many years.
“The first pair my brother gave me for many, many years. ago — my first pair of funny Adidas sneakers as a Christmas gift. I haven't looked back since then. So I'm a long-time devotee.»

The Prime Minister is no stranger to controversy over his clothing choices, particularly his suits and the length of his trousers.
When asked recently why his trousers were «so short» Mr Sunak told The Sun's Never Mind the Ballots programme: 'I don't actually think they're that short.'
He added: 'I don't like a lot of baggy, baggy things in stores. the bottom of my ankle. I don't think they're that short.»
Mr Sunak also caused a stir when he was photographed wearing Palm Angels slides, which cost around £95, in 2021.
