ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 26. The Rostov police have begun checking information about a man who has repeatedly attacked people, the press service of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov region told reporters.
“»Employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Rostov-on-Don are conducting an investigation into publications posted on the Internet, accompanied by videos that depict a citizen committing unlawful acts against other persons, and also violating public order on the streets city,» the statement said.
On Friday, a number of social networks published information about a man who systematically attacked people he did not know, beat them, causing severe injuries, and posted corresponding videos on the Internet. In addition, he posted photographs on his page with his hand raised in a Nazi salute, including on Red Square in Moscow.
As the police explained, measures are being taken to identify the participants in the events, as well as to clarify the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the inspection, law enforcement officers will make a decision in accordance with the law, noted the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Investigators from the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation also began an investigation into this fact, the department’s press service reported. They will check this man's involvement in propaganda and public display of Nazi symbols, as well as beating citizens, hooliganism and other crimes.
