MOSCOW, April 24 Alla Pugacheva became popular thanks to Russian viewers, pop singer Stas Mikhailov recalled at a press conference.
“Artists are people who are visible, they do things that they are guided by. <…> She may not love me, but she can’t: they made her Alla Pugacheva, Russia made her,” he emphasized.
In March, the artist spoke rudely about Russians, responding to Mikhailov’s criticism about her leaving the country. According to her, “normal people are not going to return.”
In 2022, the singer, along with her children and husband Maxim Galkin*, moved to Israel after the comedian publicly condemned the Russian special operation in Ukraine . Pugacheva was hit with a barrage of criticism on social networks. In response to this, she called the hatred of those people whom she “always could not stand” happiness. She also stated that those who criticize her “were serfs — became slaves.”
