MOSCOW, April 25. The new psychological thriller “Kalimba” starring Fyodor Bondarchuk will be released on the Okko online platform on May 16, the service’s press service reports.

The show will begin on May 16 only in Okko… The first episode of the series «Kalimba» was shown as part of the competition program of the third Russian festival of content of streaming platforms Original+, where it received three awards : an award for the most anticipated project and original actor (Fyodor Bondarchuk) according to the professional jury, as well as a special prize from the media jury for the best series of the festival,” the message says. 
The director of the series was Nurbek Egen, the director of photography was Dmitry Karnachik, and the production designer was Dmitry Ilyichev. The producers of the project were Andrey Levin and Roman Novikov. Roles in the series were also played by Alena Mikhailova, Sergei Garmash, Pyotr Skvortsov, Elizaveta Shakira, Sergei Goroshko, Konstantin Plotnikov, Yulia Volkova and others.
In the plot, during a psychological experiment, Professor Meshchersky (Fyodor Bondarchuk) gathers victims and their offenders in a confined space. The subjects are wearing bracelets, which, in case of disobedience, hit the owner with a powerful electric shock. The duration of the experiment is no more than 15 days. The subsequent investigation should reveal the true motives of the professor and his patrons.
