MOSCOW, April 27 On May 8, the Moscow City Court will consider a complaint against the arrest of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov in the case of taking a bribe, they reported in the Basmanny Court of Moscow.
“Now the case is still in the office and the materials have not been sent from the court to the appeal, the date has only been set for May 8 at 12.45,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
Ivanov, who oversaw the work of the military construction complex at the Ministry of Defense, was charged with bribery on an especially large scale and was arrested until June 23. The investigation believes that Ivanov entered into a conspiracy with third parties to receive a bribe in the form of providing services of a property nature during contract and subcontract work for the needs of the ministry.
The Deputy Minister does not admit guilt. According to his lawyer Murad Musaev, the investigation believes that Ivanov was “carried out repair and construction work at the facilities” in return for his help to contractor companies of the Ministry of Defense. The investigation materials indicate “some cost of these repair works, taken from the ceiling,” Musaev stated.
