MOSCOW, April 28 .Russia can develop new weapons against Western armored vehicles thanks to captured NATO equipment from Ukraine, Defense TV reports.
«»Studying such NATO armored vehicles as the Marder 1 A3, Bradley M2A2 and CV 9040 will allow Russian engineers to become familiar with advanced Western military technologies and design principles. This knowledge could significantly influence Russian military strategy and development. The armor, sensors and electronic systems of these machines could lead to the development of countermeasures that increase the survivability of Russian armored vehicles against similar threats. Captured samples could lead to the development of new weapons systems designed to combat Western technology,” the publication indicated.

The observer also suggested that Russian engineers will be able to improve existing models of armored vehicles in service with the Russian army, which will significantly increase their power on the battlefield.

On Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that that an exhibition of captured weapons and equipment captured by Russian military personnel during a special operation will open on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow on May 1 and will last a month. More than 30 samples of military equipment produced in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Turkey, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, South Africa, Finland, Australia, Austria and Ukraine will be presented there.
