A teacher from Dagestan saved children and a pensioner from a burning house

MAKHACHKALA, April 30 A teacher from the Tlyaratina region of Dagestan single-handedly pulled small children and a pensioner who could not move on her own from a burning house, the head of the republic said on Tuesday Sergey Melikov in his Telegram channel.
“The heroine of the day, without any doubt, is a teacher from the Tlyaratina district, Zagirat Gadzhimagomedova. She was working in her garden when she noticed a fire in a neighboring house. The woman did not hesitate and rushed to help. Alone! Into the burning house, where small children and a sick woman remained The pensioner first took the children out, and then she returned and carried out the grandmother on her back, who could not move on her own,” Melikov said.

Gadzhimagomedova received burns, but refused hospitalization. The head of the republic noted that such a feat deserves a state award — he has already ordered the preparation of the necessary documents.

“Zagirat Magomedovna, we are all delighted with your action! Thank you for saving lives,” wrote the head of the republic.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan clarified that Gadzhimagomedova is a primary school teacher at the Sikar school in the Tlyaratina district; she has worked as a teacher for 35 years. For her feat, the teacher has already received letters of gratitude from the heads of the district and the village administration.
