    English journalists recognized Foden as the best player of the year

    MOSCOW, May 3. Midfielder of the English club Manchester City Phil Foden was recognized as the best player of the year by the Association of English Football Writers (FWA), according to the organization's website.
    This season, 23-year-old Foden has scored 24 goals and made 10 assists. He becomes the third City player in the last four years to win the award, following teammates Erling Haaland (2023) and Ruben Dias (2021).
    Bunny Shaw from Manchester City was recognized as the best female footballer of the year.
