Russians were warned about 30 hours of magnetic storms over the next two days
Specialists from the Solar X-ray Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that the total duration of magnetic storms expected to be 6-7 May 2024, can reach 30 hours.
The power of the geomagnetic storm will presumably correspond to the G2 level, that is, it will be moderate.
Magnetic storms of the G3-G4 levels can occur with a probability of about 10 percent, storms of the most powerful category G5 are not expected.
