BLAGOVESCHENSK, May 8A fire in an arched warehouse with an area of 900 square meters occurred on Wednesday night in the village of Kalinino, Mikhailovsky district of the Amur region, the open fire was eliminated, the structures are being watered, the fire destroyed 380 tons of grain, the Amur Center for Civil Protection and Fire Safety reports on its Telegram channel.
«Today, May 8, at 2.30 (20.30 Moscow time), a message was received about a fire in an arched warehouse with an area of 900 square meters on the northeastern outskirts of the village of Kalinino, Mikhailovsky district. According to preliminary data, 380 tons of grain were destroyed by the fire,» the message says.
In total, 17 firefighters, 2 tank trucks and one piece of equipment worked on the fire.
«As of 13:00 (7.00 Moscow time), firefighters have eliminated the open burning, and the structure is now being watered,» the center clarified.
The warehouse owner provided two forklifts that dismantle the buildings. Firefighters are at the scene of the fire to prevent the grain from catching fire again. The cause and culprit will be established, the department noted.
