A man who saved people from a drowned St. Petersburg bus spoke about the incident

Shahban Dzhabrailov, who saved people from a drowned St. Petersburg bus, spoke about the incident. According to him, he and his friend Idris Gadzhiev rushed to help, interrupting the evening prayer.

«They saw that the bus was leaving the bridge and falling. They ran to see what and how. There was only one outcome — to jump and try to help somehow. In general, three people were saved,” Shahban said, his words are quoted by the SHOT telegram channel.

The State Duma previously proposed rewarding witnesses to the incident who helped save people.

According to various sources, from four to seven people died as a result of the accident. The driver lost control, and as a result the bus flew off the Potseluev Bridge.

Taxi LLC, which owns the bus, has been fined 23 times over the past two years for lack of a license and violation of the drivers' labor regulations.
