Details of the biography of 44-year-old Rakhmatshoh Kurbonov, the driver of Taxi LLC, who committed a terrible accident in St. Petersburg on Friday afternoon, have become known. The bus on route 262, driven by Kurbonov, lost control and fell from the Potseluev Bridge into the Moika River. At least 4 people died.

As MK learned, Kurbonov is from Tajikistan. Initially, he was registered in the Orenburg region, but his last place of residence was St. Petersburg. Rakhmatshoh worked as a courier and was also employed as a conductor in one of the bus depots. But for some time now he has become a driver.

It is characteristic that the “chauffeur” Kurbonov’s biography was not flawless: in June 2022, while driving a VAZ-21150 car, he committed an accident on the embankment of the Smolenka River (though without casualties), after which he disappeared. In connection with this, he was brought to administrative responsibility. He did not pay the fine, so the bailiff service had claims against Kurbonov.
