    Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLC received a new multimedia system and a refreshed palette

    Updated versions of two models of the German brand are now available for order on the home market, prices are known.

    Mercedes-Benz presented the current C-Class sedan and station wagon (with the factory designation W206) in February 2021, the second-generation GLC crossover debuted in the early summer of 2022, and the GLC Coupe joined the range in March 2023. It should be noted that based on sales results on the European market last year, both models showed an increase: according to JATO Dynamics, the “tseshka” sold 79,655 copies (10% more than a year earlier), and 67,247 customers chose the SUV ( 39% more).

    Now the German manufacturer has updated a couple of related models. As part of the update, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLC received a revised color palette. Thus, a new green version of Verde Silver Metallic has become available for the crossover, in addition, both models now have an additional gray color in the range called Manufaktur Alpine Gray Uni.

    The list of updates also includes the new latest generation MBUX infotainment system with an optimized interface. This multimedia supports 5G connectivity and third-party applications (from games to video and music streaming), which can be downloaded from the Mercedes Me Store.

    The brand's new infotainment system uses artificial intelligence to automate a number of functions. For example, owners of updated Mercedes-Benz models can configure the “Cold Day” mode: in this case, heated seats will automatically turn on if the temperature “outside” is below a certain level.

    Also on the list of innovations for the refreshed Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLC is an interior option without a leather cover on the steering wheel. That is, now customers will be able to choose a design that does not use leather as a finishing material in the interior. In addition, cars can use digital key technology, meaning they can be unlocked, locked and started using a smartphone.

    Updated versions of two models of the German brand are already available for order on the home market. In Germany, for a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan they ask for at least 47,730 euros (equivalent to approximately 4.72 million rubles at the current exchange rate), for a station wagon – at least 49,515 euros (about 4.89 million rubles). The starting price of the refreshed GLC crossover is 59,809 euros (about 5.91 million rubles), and for the GLC Coupe – 62,594 euros (about 6.18 million rubles).

A recent novelty was the electric version of the G-Class SUV, which received the long name Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology. The live premiere took place at the Beijing Auto Show late last month. This electric car will go on sale in the second half of this year.
