The new electric Jeep will have dual-motor all-wheel drive: the total output of the system will exceed 600 hp. The crossover will premiere next week.
The Jeep Wagoneer S electric cross was shown as a concept back in 2022, and at the beginning of this year, the Stellantis concern distributed the first images of the production-ready model. Now a promotional video with a pre-production SUV has been published, in addition, a couple of fresh pictures have been found on the American Jeep website. A full presentation will take place in the United States on May 30 (local time).
Let us remind you that the Jeep Wagoneer S is based on the new STLA Large platform from Stellantis. The SUV will have dual-motor all-wheel drive. According to updated data, the total output will be 608 hp. and 836 Nm. From zero to 97 km/h, the all-wheel drive Jeep electric car will be able to accelerate in 3.4 seconds – this is 0.1 second less than previously announced. However, Jeep still clarifies that all of the indicated indicators are still valid for the pre-production version. But there is still no data on batteries. It is only known that the power reserve will exceed 480 km.

In the video, the Wagoneer S was compared to the Tesla Model Y SUV in the top Performance version, which Stellantis obviously considers the main competitor of its model. “Electric cars” are racing on a track in California, and the new Jeep, of course, is taking the lead. However, the video did not show which electric car came first. Meanwhile, according to Tesla's official American website, the Model Y Performance accelerates from 0 to 97 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
As for design, the commercial Jeep Wagoneer S will generally retain the appearance of its 2022 predecessor. Features — a concave “radiator grille” with family “slots”, squared wheel arches and rear lights designed in the form of a single die. There will be four screens in the cabin — the instrument panel, the central and passenger touchscreens of the multimedia system and a separate touch panel responsible for controlling the “climate” and other functions.
In the States, orders for the Jeep Wagoneer S electric crossover will open in the fall. It is expected that the model will reach other markets.
Meanwhile, according to unofficial data, the Wagoneer S may subsequently receive an internal combustion engine — apparently, it will be a hybrid.
