On Friday, a law enforcement source said that a ninth-grader drowned in Anapa while saving a friend who was being carried away by the current. The teenagers went to the beach after the last bells were held at schools. According to Kuban-SPAS and the city's EDDS, two people from a group of schoolchildren jumped from a pier near the central beach of Anapa. Search operations were complicated by gusty northeast winds and sea waves of 3-4 points. As a result, rescuers discovered a drowned child.
