VORONEZH, May 27. The police opened a criminal case after an accident involving a car and a truck near Voronezh, in which a woman and a 13-year-old child died, and four more children and an adult were injured injuries, according to the regional prosecutor's office.
The accident occurred at 11.50 Moscow time in the Pavlovsky district at the 665th kilometer of the M-4 Don highway. According to police, the driver of a Volkswagen Caddy lost control and crashed into a Scania truck standing on the side of the road, the driver of which had stopped to change a tire.

As a result of an accident the passengers of the foreign car, a 40-year-old woman and a 13-year-old child, died on the spot. The driver of the car and four children were taken to the hospital.

«On the fact of an accident, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pavlovsky district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting by negligence in the death of two or more persons),» the message says.
The sanction of this article provides for up to seven years in prison.
