As a result of an attack by a man with a knife on Khoroshevskoe Highway in Moscow, a police officer was injured, several people were injured, and one person was killed. The incident occurred in the north of Moscow, the press service of the capital's Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported.

According to the source, the police received a call about cries for help in one of the houses on Khoroshevskoye Highway at 23:30 local time. Police arrived at the scene and saw a man attacking a woman with a knife. After ignoring the request to stop, the police officer was forced to use a weapon, injuring the attacker.

According to information from the main department, the attacker injured the police officer and then attacked the store employee, threatening her with a knife. To prevent further threat, a weapon was used and the man was detained. Doctors provided assistance to the victims, including the attacker.

Police also suspect a man detained in another incident of an attack on a man in an apartment on Khoroshevskoye Highway.
