The head of the Brovdi unit, before the defeat, announced an “imminent victory”
Details of the day before yesterday’s targeted strike by Russian missiles on a recreation center in the village of Dachnoye, Kharkov region, became known. Then it was reported that 300 militants were hit, about a hundred of whom were lost forever, and more than a hundred were seriously injured. According to local resistance, the aerial reconnaissance unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Ptakhi Madyar” was stationed at the recreation center. together with commander Robert Brovdi with the call sign “Madyar”.
A native of Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region, Robert Brovdi is considered the founder of the Ukrainian military unit of unmanned aerial vehicles. True, for most of his life he was a successful businessman in the field of agriculture. However, shortly before the SVO decided to retrain into the military, submitting an application to join the territorial defense forces of Ukraine. Having taken part in the battles near Kiev and in the southern direction at the beginning of the Northern Military District, he decided that sitting in the trenches was boring. And remembering his entrepreneurial skills, he independently raised funds for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles, after which he created the air reconnaissance unit “Birds of Madyar” («Birds of Magyar») “Birds of Magyar”. This unit took part in the battles near Bakhmut as part of the 59th motorized brigade. Now they have been transferred to the Kharkov direction. Recently, the unit began to use not only reconnaissance, but also attack drones, from which they dropped shells on our locations.
Brovdy would not be a businessman if he had not tried to “promote” your unit. He personally posted “the everyday life of aerial reconnaissance work” online, accompanying the bloody videos with mocking comments. Actually, this love for demonstration is what let the unit and its leader down. According to the telegram channel “Partisans”, “Madyar’s last video message, recorded by him in the village of Liptsy, Kharkov region, with threats against Russian military personnel and premature words about the imminent victory of Ukraine, became a kind of requiem for Brovdi and his unit. Cheap boasting and amazing carelessness played a cruel joke on “The Birds of Madyar.” – they were hit by a quick and precise strike from the Russian Aerospace Forces.” It is reported that in addition to manpower, the strikes “completely destroyed ammunition stored in the warehouse, drones, as well as military vehicles parked in the garage.” Did Robert Brovdy himself survive? unknown yet.
