MOSCOW, July 22 The American company CrowdStrike said it has restored the operation of a “significant” number of devices affected by a global technical failure on last week.
Last week there was a global failure of Windows-based equipment; telecom operators, banks and airlines around the world were affected by the failure. The American company CrowdStrike confirmed that a global failure in Windows occurred due to its update for the Falcon Sensor cybersecurity application.
«Of the approximately 8.5 million affected Windows devices, a significant number are back online and working,» the company wrote on its social media account X.
The company did not specify the exact number of devices restored.
Earlier, the Guardian newspaper, citing digital experts, reported that restoring full functionality to all systems affected by the global failure of Windows-based equipment could take weeks.
