Last autumn, the Italian brand Alfa Romeo, part of the Stellantis corporation, comprehensively updated related mid-size models on the Giorgio platform — the Giulia sedan and crossover Stelvio, but then “behind the scenes” were the top versions of the Quadrifoglio with a 2.9-liter V6 biturbo petrol engine. Now they've been updated too, with both cars making their debut in the limited edition Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversario, which has technical features.
The related Giulia and Stelvio are in the twilight of their market careers and will be replaced by all-electric successors in the coming years, but petrolheads still have time to enjoy living classics: today restyled top versions of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio are presented, and right away in anniversary liveries. The fact is that 100 years ago, namely on April 15, 1923, the Italian Hugo Sivocchi won the Targa Florio race in Sicily driving an Alfa Romeo RL with a four-leaf clover pattern on the hood. Since then, the four-leaf clover has been considered a symbol of Alfa Romeo's good luck, and has been adorned with racing cars and the most powerful versions of road models.
The jubilee Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio will be produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces each. In addition to commemorative emblems and nameplates, their distinctive features are gold-colored brake calipers, carbon-fiber radiator grille and mirror housings, black Alcantara upholstery with contrasting gold stitching.

Especially for the anniversary versions, the 2.9-liter “biturbo six” is boosted from 510 to 520 hp, and a mechanical locking differential is installed in the rear axle, which will be especially useful for the sedan, as it is strictly rear-wheel drive in the Quadrifoglio version, while the crossover — all-wheel drive. The transmission in both cases is only an 8-speed automatic.

Important clarification: the boosted motor is only available for Europe (including the UK) and China, other markets in flight.
