A completely different Nissan Pathfinder is presented: without a hint of the former frame

In contrast to the global SUV, the fresh model received quite a “sleek” look of an ordinary SUV. The interior is also completely new.

The Nissan Arizon show car, which debuted the day before, was not the only high-profile premiere of the brand at the Shanghai Motor Show: today they also showed the Pathfinder crossover, created specifically for China. This is also still a concept, but close to production. Thus, it has already been officially announced that the production version will be put on the assembly line of the local joint venture Dongfeng Nissan in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Chinese Pathfinder is not at all a kind of global model — it has its own body and interior. That is, in fact, a name well known to Russians was given to a completely new SUV. By the way, if the current “world” crossover at least outwardly resembles the previous brutal frame SUV, then the Nissan Pathfinder for China is already at first glance an ordinary SUV.

Appearance features — a wide grille with integrated diode strips of running lights, narrow headlights and taillights made in the form of a single die. Sizes have not yet been revealed. The model will also be offered to the Chinese in a three-row version.

The company did not tell about the technology of the novelty. Local specialized media tipped such a Pathfinder a 2.0 gasoline turbo engine, while the “world” crossover is supposed to be a naturally aspirated V6 3.5.

Recall that in Russia, the current generation Nissan Pathfinder officially launched in January 2022 — before the start of well-known events. Then the brand left the Russian market, so now this SUV is supplied to us under the parallel import scheme. It is possible that subsequently local dealers will start to bring Chinese Pathfinder to the Russian Federation.
