As part of the Shanghai Motor Show, the Italian brand Maserati has completely declassified the Folgore electric version of its mid-size Grecale crossover, all key technical specifications have been announced, but so far no price given.
The world premiere of the Maserati Grecale took place last spring, at the same time its electric version of the Folgore was shown, but without details, and only this week a full-fledged presentation of the electric crossover took place in Shanghai. The Grecale Folgore, like its ICE brethren, is built on the stretched Giorgio platform borrowed from the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. In terms of dimensions, an electric crossover is slightly different from gasoline ones: its overall length is 4865 mm, width is 1948 mm, height is 1651 mm, wheelbase is 2903 mm.

The Grecale Folgore has a number of exterior features: it has fewer front vents, body-color inserts in place of the removed exhaust pipes in the rear bumper, copper-colored brake calipers and wheels (19-, 20- or 21-inch) with improved aerodynamic characteristics. The maximum stock tire size is 255/40 R 21 front and 295/35 R 21 rear.
< p>The electric crossover is equipped as standard with adaptive air suspension: front — double wishbones, rear — multi-link. Brembo brake discs on both axles have a diameter of 350 mm. A 400-volt battery with a capacity of 105 kWh is built into the floor, the estimated range on a single charge is 500 km on the WLTP cycle. The maximum charging power is 150 kW, it allows you to recharge from 20 to 80% in 29 minutes.

The power plant consists of two identical EDM (Electric Drive Module) modules, in which an electric motor, an inverter, a gearbox and a differential are combined, the drive, respectively, is full. The maximum cumulative output is 410 kW (557 hp) and 820 Nm. Grecale Folgore accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 s, to 200 km/h in 16.1 s, the maximum speed is limited to 220 km/h.
1/5 2/5 3/5 4/5 5/5Four modes of operation are provided for the power plant: economical Max Range (in which the maximum speed ceiling is reduced to 130 km/h, climate control is limited and reactions to pressing the accelerator are dulled), standard GT, dynamic Sport and off-road Offroad. The electric technical filling made the crossover heavier by about 4.5 centners and brought the curb weight to 2480 kg, the weight distribution was 47.2/52.8 in favor of the rear axle.
The interior of the Grecale Folgore is not fundamentally different from that of the petrol versions, but the electric crossover, of course, has its own graphics of the 12.3-inch instrument screen. On the center console there is a main multimedia screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, an auxiliary screen with a diagonal of 8.8 inches (responsible for the microclimate and driving settings) and a smart watch that, in addition to time, can show tips, display a compass, an overload chart and many what else. Finishing materials, as it is now fashionable, are made mainly from recycled materials. Trunk volume — 535 liters.

The date of the start of sales of the Maserati Grecale Folgore has not yet been announced, the price has not been announced. We add that by 2025 every Maserati model will have an electric version of the Folgore, and by 2030 the Italian brand plans to completely switch to electric vehicles.
