Recently, photos have appeared on the Web that appear to be of a new generation Grant. After analyzing all the available information, we decided to get an idea of what the future novelty will look like.
The Granta model appeared in the line of the Volga Automobile Plant in 2011. The car was a cheaper version of Kalina in a sedan. Lada Kalina itself has been produced since 2004, and in 2018 both families were merged into one with the name of Grant and received a restyling in the current style of the company. The need for a generational change has long been overdue, and last month, AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov announced that such a car is now under development. At the same time, you can probably already see fragments of this model on the Web.
Rendering the new Grants
Judging by the available images of different parts of the body, the new Grant will be very similar to the restyled older model Lada Vesta. From the front, only slight differences are visible, consisting in the shape of the headlights, which will become slightly larger in height. The sidewalls will receive stampings on the doors and fenders, which have already become branded for Togliatti novelties, while here they will be made more compact and strict in shape. The sedan will receive an imitation of additional windows behind the rear doors, which in fact turn out to be plastic plugs. The novelty differs most from Vesta in the rear view due to the original lamp blocks.
Rendering of the new Grants
According to preliminary data , the novelty will be built on the CMF-B modular platform from the Renault-Nissan concern. There is no information about the engines yet, we can only assume that the new Grant will borrow some options from Vesta. The current Granta, until recently, was equipped with 1.6 gasoline naturally aspirated engines with a capacity of 90, 98 and 106 hp
The premiere of the novelty may take place next year.
