AvtoVAZ returned Lada Granta 106-horsepower engine. The price is known

According to the company, the starting price tag of the Granta sedan with a 16-valve engine is 865,500 rubles.

AVTOVAZ launched the production of its «people's car» in 2011. Restyling Lada Granta survived in 2018, at the same time Kalina also entered the family, which expanded the number of body types of the model. Granta traditionally occupies a place at the top of the list of the most popular cars in the Russian Federation, including in the crisis 2022: according to the manufacturer, last year dealers sold 95,879 copies in the country, which is 14% less than a year earlier.

After the forced downtime, it was Lada Granta that was the first to return to the AvtoVAZ conveyor: sedans, liftbacks and station wagons returned to the conveyor, but the hatchback remained “overboard”. Cars were gradually overgrown with special versions and returned equipment, however, since June 2022, cars were produced only with a “junior” 90-horsepower eight-valve 1.6-liter gasoline engine.

Now AvtoVAZ has returned to the family the Lada Granta version with a 16-valve engine of the same volume, its power is 106 hp, and the maximum torque is 148 Nm. The engine is installed in all currently produced versions — a sedan, a liftback and a «raised» station wagon with an increase in Cross. In the middle of this month, it became known that the corresponding modifications had returned to the conveyor of the Togliatti plant, and now the company spoke about the start of their sales.

According to the AvtoVAZ press release, the starting recommended retail price of the Granta sedan with a 16-valve engine is 865,500 rubles: the cost of the Comfort version is indicated. The equipment of this configuration includes, among other things, two airbags, air conditioning, heated front seats and a standard audio system.

It is curious that the current price list on the official Lada website contains a lower base price tag (at the same time, there is no indication that the price is indicated taking into account current promotions). So, Grants in the Comfort version are asking for 845,900 rubles for a sedan, 865,900 rubles for a liftback in the same version, and 914,900 rubles for Granta Cross.

For comparison, the starting price of a Lada Granta sedan with a «junior» eight-valve engine, according to the price list, is 678,300 rubles, for a liftback they ask for at least 698 300 rubles, and a “raised” station wagon will cost at least 818,900 rubles.

Recall that Lada Granta should change generation next year, however, there are no details about this new product yet. However, the other day the designer Kolesa.ru suggested what the next generation Grant would probably look like. It is assumed that the «people's car» will be visually similar to the current Vesta.
