Officially: the «budget» crossover Haval M6 is going to Russia

Like at home, we will offer an SUV with a non-alternative one and a half liter turbo engine, but you can choose a box.

A couple of weeks ago, Kolesa.ru reported that the Haval M6 crossover had appeared in neighboring Kazakhstan. And now it has been announced that this model will soon reach Russia. Moreover, apparently, there is no talk of assembly at the Havala plant in Tula: the cars will be delivered directly from China.

Recall that the Haval M6 debuted on the home market in 2017, the cross was made on the basis of the first generation H6 . At the end of 2020, the emka went through a restyling, simultaneously receiving the “surname” Plus (but there will be no prefix in the Russian Federation). Now the Haval M6 is opening a brand line in China, we also position it as an “affordable and practical” crossover, although prices have not yet been named.

In terms of its dimensions, the model is close to the deceased Russian-made Nissan X-Trail. The length of the M6 ​​is 4664 mm, width — 1830 mm, height — 1729 mm, wheelbase — 2680 mm. The claimed trunk volume is an impressive 808 liters, with the rear seats folded down, this figure will increase to 1550 liters. The crossover «stands» on 17-inch wheels.

In Russia, the Haval M6 will be available with a 1.5 petrol “turbo four”, which produces 143 hp. and 202 Nm (in China — 150 hp and 218 Nm). The engine is combined with a six-speed «mechanics» or a seven-speed robotic box with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front.

The Russian version is promised LED optics, a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a rear-view camera, heated front seats, ESP, cruise control. Also, the local division reported that the main elements of the body and wheel arches of cars for the Russian Federation are covered with a special anti-corrosion paint. The crossover will be presented only in three colors — white, black and gray.

Haval sales start M6 is slated for summer. It should be noted that in Kazakhstan, the cross has retained the title of the most affordable model of the brand, where its price starts at 8,990,000 tenge, which is equivalent to about 1,615,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. In Russia, the title of the cheapest Haval crossover today is Jolion — from 1,799,000 rubles (2023 onwards; in Kazakhstan, Haval Jolion costs from 11,290,000 tenge or from 2,029,000 rubles).
