Outside and inside, the four-door has changed in the likeness of the restyled alternative hatch that debuted earlier. In addition, the state employees got new equipment.
Last year, Toyota introduced a low-cost next-generation sedan aimed at countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East: in some places the model is known as the Yaris Ativ, and in some markets it is the Vios or just the Yaris. Recall that the “four-door” has nothing to do with the small Yaris hatchback, created on the GA-B “trolley” and intended for Europe and Japan. The fact is that the new sedan is built on the DNGA platform (a kind of Toyota TNGA), it is a direct successor to a simple car with a factory index XP150, which, in turn, is based on an extended version of the B-platform. At the same time, Toyota left the old alternative Yaris in its range: in March, a restyled hatch debuted in Thailand. Well, now it turned out that the “four-door” on the “trolley” DNGA will not appear everywhere: sales of the XP150 series sedan, updated in the likeness of a related hatchback, have begun in Vietnam. By the way, in the Vietnamese market, the four-door model is called Vios.

In front, the sedan repeated the Thai hatch, Vios got similar “broken” headlights (they are already “in the base” LED), the same grille, bumper and foglights. In addition, the “four-door” received a new design wheels (but they are still exclusively 15-inch). But the reforms almost did not affect the stern, except that the rear bumper was slightly retouched. 4
As in the case of the “five-door”, inside a more or less significant new thing appeared only in the top-end restyled Toyota Vios: this is a 9-inch multimedia system tablet that rises above the front panel (simpler trim levels have a 7-inch screen, and it is still built into the panel).

The most expensive Vietnamese sedan also gained frontal collision prevention and lane departure warning systems, top versions still have climate control and cruise control control.
The technology is the same: in Vietnam, the Vios is available with a 1.5 petrol four-cylinder «aspirated» with a capacity of 106 hp. (140 Nm), which is combined with a five-speed “mechanics” or CVT.

The price of a restyled «four-door» is approximately $20,000. Yes, for Vietnam it is relatively inexpensive, because even a Kia Soluto sedan based on the old Rio will cost at least $17,000 there.
