Hugo Lloris is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer as the club prepare for the visit of a potential replacement, Brentford's David Raj.
Winner Lloris will miss the last two games of the season in France, including Saturday's clash with Brentford due to injury, and it's increasingly likely that the 36-year-old has played his final game for Spurs.
Lloris' contract runs until the summer of 2024, but expectations are growing that he will end his 11-year spell at Tottenham this year.
Coming from Lyon for an initial fee of less than £10m , Lloris was one of Tottenham's best value for money players and is also the club's captain.
Lloris is believed to have already received an offer from Saudi Arabia to triple his salary and Tottenham are preparing to move to a new goalkeeper with Rai at the top of their list.
Raya, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea, could improve his reputation at Tottenham on Saturday, although a good performance for Brentford could also undermine the club's hopes, and possibly his own, of playing in Europe next season.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank has valued Rye at around £40m and the club appear to be preparing for his departure with Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flecken.
Flecken has a £11.3 million buyout clause. in his contract and is said to be in preliminary talks for a move to Brentford.
Freiburg sporting director Jochen Sayer said: “It is possible that Mark will leave us. But it's legal. It is also a matter of time for him: when will you take the next big step? The island generates interest and is also known to be profitable. There's a possibility in that regard.»
With Lloris injured, Fraser Forster, 35, who also has a contract with the Spurs until 2024, will continue to substitute against Brentford.
